Vered and Itzik, both in their 60’s, are struggling to make ends meet. Both of them suffer from numerous physical ailments. Itzik has diabetes and high blood pressure, and Vered suffers from diabetes, chronic back pain and a severe respiratory condition that requires her to be on supplemental oxygen.

The couple survives on their monthly disability and pension stipends. They have heavy debts to repay and live from hand to mouth.

Recently, the couple’s washing machine broke and cannot be fixed. A new machine would certainly go a long way towards improving their quality of life.
