Washing machine for Tali

Total Cost - USD 308
Still Needed - USD -14
Funded - USD 322

Tali, 39, is a single mother to three-year-old Guy. At the age of four months, Guy was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Since then, he has undergone seven surgeries. Guy is legally blind (though he does have minimal vision) and developmentally delayed. His medical expenses, which include medications, hospitalizations, various therapies and transportation, have taken a huge toll on Tali.

When Guy was diagnosed, Tali had to stop working in order to attend to all of his medical needs. She has only now returned to work as a kindergarten assistant. Despite her income and Guy’s disability stipend, along with her frugal lifestyle, Tali’s financial situation is dire.

Tali is deeply devoted to Guy. Despite the emotional and financial toll that his illness has taken on her, she remains dedicated to giving him everything she can.

At the moment, Tali’s most desperate need is a new washing machine. Her old one is broken beyond repair, and she has resorted to taking her laundry to the local laundromat; needless to say, given her situation at home, this is an untenable solution.

There is no doubt that a new machine would greatly improve Tali’s quality of life.
