Maayan, 30, is struggling to raise her three young children – ages 9 months, 6 and 7 – on her own. Maayan is divorced and receives no help from her family. She supports herself and her children on a monthly government stipend. In addition to relying on this money for her daily expenses, Maayan also has debts to repay. Social services helps where they can, but every day is a struggle.

Recently, Maayan’s washing machine broke, and the technician said it cannot be fixed. Maayan cannot afford a new machine, but life with three little kids and no washing machine is impossible.
