Washing machine for Adi

Adi is a 23 years old single mother who lives with her 3 kids (aged 5,3,1) in a Shelter for abused women.

At the age of 16, Adi met Jamal and they fell in love. Adi’s parents did not approve of the couple as he was a Bedouin and she was Jewish. When Adi got pregnant, her parents kicked her out of the house and Adi went to live in Beer Sheva, together with Jamal.

A year and a half ago, Jamal started abusing her, verbally, physically, and sexually. Adi tried to ignore, fix, and pretend it wasn’t happening but she knew she needed to end this toxic relationship.

One day when Jamal was out, Adi escaped with her 3 children and ran to her parents’ house. She immediately filed a complaint against Jamal who was arrested and she moved into a shelter for Battered women.

David, 5, is Adi’s oldest child. He was exposed to severe violence from his father and now suffers from seizures. He completed a psychiatric evaluation and was diagnosed with PTSD. He is currently receiving medication and other medical assistance for this.
Adin, 3, suffers from developmental delays and is also undergoing evaluations.

Adi is currently not working as she is home with the baby. She is doing everything in her power to help everyone heal, including herself. She suffers from anxiety, as well as PTSD, and is also on medication to keep this under control.

Adi has recently moved into her own small apartment. She has many expenses but her most pressing issue is that she does not have a washing machine and is not able to wash her children’s clothing. Let’s help Adi with this one gesture that will give her a push in the right direction towards getting her life back on track.
