Tuition for Tova
Tova, 20, has had a complicated upbringing. One of six siblings, Tova grew up in an ultra-Orthodox home. She attended a school geared towards at-risk youth from ultra-Orthodox homes and is currently finishing her second year of National Service. During her service, Tova has learned a good work ethic, a sense of responsibility and has built solid relationships. Over the two-year period, Tova lived at home which caused a lot of tension as her parents do not approve of her way of life.
Life at home is difficult for Tova. Her parents have a violent relationship, and she often finds herself acting as her mother’s shield. To make matters worse, as a child, Tova was sexually abused by one of her brothers. During Corona, Tova suffered extreme anxiety and was treated with CBT. She managed to overcome her fears and complete her National Service.
Tova’s dream is to study acting. She recently auditioned for a part in a movie and won the role. Needless to say, this career path is not one her parents are willing to support.
Tova is determined to build herself a stable, independent life. She is receiving no financial or emotional support from her parents but is motivated to move forward. With a little bit of help, Tova can study her chosen field and pursue all of her dreams.
