Project RESPECT – Helping Older Israelis
As the tumult of recent events unfolds, the needs of our cherished older adults in Israel have reached new heights. The onset of war has not only heightened feelings of isolation, loneliness, and fear, but it has particularly impacted those navigating life on their own. Amid these trials, pre-existing challenges, such as the quest for independent living, have loomed larger than ever. And as if that weren’t enough, an unexpectedly cold and damp winter has only exacerbated the situation.
Ten Gav is committed to supporting our older community members. We believe every individual deserves access to the essentials of daily life, regardless of their challenges. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing crucial household goods and services that can make all the difference.
From heaters that bring warmth to the coldest of nights to ovens that fill homes with comforting aromas and fridges that keep provisions fresh, we ensure that no one goes without the basics. But our support doesn’t stop there. We recognize the transformative power of technology in combating isolation and fostering social connections. That’s why we also supply computers and iPads, enabling our seniors to stay connected with loved ones and engage with the world around them like never before.

Our goal in 2024 is to assist over 100 older Israelis at a total cost of 183,000 ILS / 50,000 USD.
