Tuition for Chaya
After 11 years of marriage and two children, Chaya and her husband divorced. They maintained good relations and enjoyed frequent visits, so his death from cancer a few years later hit all three of them very hard.
Chaya married again and had a third child, but the marriage did not last. For years, Chaya raised her children on survivor benefits and some child support. Wanting a better life for herself and her children, Chaya, 36, enrolled in a two-year reflexology program. She hopes that completing the course will allow her to find a steady, satisfying and well-paying job.
With a scholarship, she was able to pay for the first year of the course. She can also cover approximately half the cost of the second year of studies. Chaya cannot, however, find any more money in her budget to pay the final tuition costs. Without this, she will not be able to complete the program and move forward toward a better life.
