Computer for Adam
Viktor, 39, used to own a fruit and vegetable store, but it was not a success. Since declaring bankruptcy, he has gone to work full time in a mini-market. His wife, Ina, is a dental assistant. The bulk of their salaries go towards paying off their debts, which they are doing as diligently as they can. There is not much left at the end of the month to cover the expenses of raising their three children (ages 12, 10 and 7).
Their oldest, Adam, is autistic and learns in a special communications class. His school sends all his assignments, as well as all communication with parents, electronically and, without a computer, Adam has no way to keep up. Adam loves learning, and it’s heartbreaking to see him fall behind. A computer would make all the difference in the world to this very special child.
