For families in Harish, this summer brings a unique kind of challenge. With over 600 fathers currently serving in the reserves, the city’s children are feeling the absence – and their mothers are carrying the weight of it all.
With no structured school system in place during the summer, parents are left scrambling to find safe, reliable frameworks for their children – so they can continue working and providing for their families.
For families with a father in reserves, the pressure is even greater. When a father is called up, the entire family serves. These kids deserve a summer where they can feel safe, supported, and cared for. And their mothers – parenting solo – deserve a moment to breathe.
What Are We Providing?
This summer, Ten Gav is partnering with the city of Harish to provide day camps for over 250 children – children whose fathers are away serving on the front lines.
This camp offers:
