Rent subsidies for low-income families from Ashkelon

Total Cost - USD 63,633
Still Needed - USD 0
Funded - USD 63,633

As the conflict in Israel persists, our focus is shifting towards assisting with ‘Long Term War Relief.’ Presently, we are witnessing the aftermath of the October 7th atrocities, and the impact on individuals and families is becoming increasingly evident.

Our partner Social Services Agencies in Ashkelon have reported that many of their clients are facing significant challenges. Numerous individuals have lost their jobs, while others have been compelled to relocate due to the ongoing crisis. Families, in particular, with young children are struggling with the disruption of a structured school schedule, forcing at least one parent to stay at home and resulting in a substantial reduction in household income.

Many individuals also find themselves in the unfortunate position of having to move from their current, unprotected apartments to more expensive locations that are equipped with shelters or protected spaces. This essential shift in living conditions now comes with an additional financial burden, highlighting the increased costs associated with the basic necessity of securing a safe living environment.

Our goal is to provide rent subsidies of 1,500 NIS per family for 25 families for 6 months.
