Zehava, 60, is the legal guardian for her 12-year-old granddaughter, Lital.

Lital’s story is heartbreaking; her father never immigrated to Israel with Lital’s mother and still resides in South America. Lital’s mother was killed in a car accident six years ago.

Zehava cares for Lital as if she were her own daughter. Her financial situation, however, is rather dire and the two survive on Zehava’s monthly government stipend.

Recently, Zehava’s refrigerator broke, and it cannot be repaired. If we could help provide her with a new one, there is no doubt that this small family’s quality of life would greatly improve.
