Oven for Dorit
Dorit, 62, is in dire physical condition and needs our immediate help.
A single mother to five grown children, Dorit is dealing with multiple health issues. She has undergone three strokes over the past few years and is paralyzed on her left side. She cannot be left alone, and two of her daughters take shifts caring for her.
Even before her strokes, Dorit was not a healthy woman. She has high blood pressure, suffers from obesity and is vision-impaired. She also battles insomnia and panic disorder. Of late, Dorit has also shown signs of memory loss.
Needless to say, Dorit cannot work to support herself; she survives on a monthly disability stipend and struggles to make ends meet.
At the moment, Dorit’s most urgent need is a new oven. Her old one is broken beyond repair, and her daughters have no way to cook her hot, nutritious meals.
