Growing old is not easy, certainly not for Tzvi. At 87, he can barely walk a few steps around his apartment; he is mostly bed-bound. He suffers from a list of ailments that make his life miserable. Worst of all, his hearing is beginning to deteriorate.
Before, when Tzvi coudn’t leave his apartment, he was able to listen to music, the news, and the comings and goings of the world outside his window.
But without his hearing, Tzvi feels more isolated and detached than ever. Hearing aids would go a long way toward improving the quality of Tzvi’s life, and with that, his mood and his outlook. But hearing aids are expensive, and well beyond his budget.
