Evaluation for Tali

Tali desperately needs our help. Tali’s mother Lara, 30, moved to Israel from Russia at the age of seven. She got married, became pregnant and got divorced before Tali was even born. Tali, now 10, has had no contact with her father since the age of three.
Lara does her best raising Tali on her own. She works as a store cashier and has trouble making ends meet. Tali has exhibited academic, social and emotional issues. Social services recommended a psychiatric evaluation which was done through Family and Children’s Services. The child psychiatrist has recommended a psycho-didactic evaluation as well since Tali has shown academic and social delays in her school setting. Clearly, Lara cannot afford the cost of the evaluation but without it, Tali can’t possibly get the help that she so badly needs.
