Course tuition for Leah
Leah, 25, had a rough start in life, but she is determined to move forward and build herself a brighter future.
Leah was born into an ultra-Orthodox household. At the age of 17, her parents divorced and she went to live with her father. At the same time, she abandoned her parents’ religious lifestyle.
Leah’s father struggled to support his family. Leah soon realized that she would have to make it on her own. After she graduated high school, she left home and began her National Service. Until today, she is in touch with her parents only erratically.
After completing her service, Leah moved in with her sister and began working for a production company.
Eventually, struggling to support herself, Leah turned to social services for help. She joined a program that assists young people who left a religious lifestyle build a plan for the future. Leah was given a subsidized apartment and help finding a more lucrative job.
Leah has made incredible progress. She is motivated, responsible, creative and shows great initiative. She is finally saving money and, for the first time in her life, feels fulfilled and optimistic.
Leah is very interested in pursuing a career in the digital video field. She would like to take a ten-month course in digital PR but cannot afford the tuition.
There is no doubt that Leah has the drive to succeed; she just needs a little bit of help in order to realize her dreams.
