Computer for Carni and David’s family
Carni and David are in dire financial straits. The couple have five children, ages 6 months, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Carni, 33, suffers from post-partum depression and is currently not working since she is home with the baby. David, 36, works as a handyman. Since the advent of Corona, he has very little work. The family of seven survives on his meager income and a small government stipend.
Recently, Carni and David have joined a program that helps impoverished families improve their quality of life. They are getting help with financial planning. legal advice regarding their outstanding debts, assistance in daily living and help figuring out their rights. Carni is hoping to enroll the baby in childcare this year so that she can look for a job. Hopefully, better times lie ahead.
There is no doubt that a computer would help this family in so many ways – for financial planning, job searches and online learning for the children. Needless to say, there is no way Carni and David can afford one right now. With our help, this young family has the chance to succeed.
