Beds for Sylvie and Gabi’s children
Innocent young children should not be sleeping on the floor.
Sylvie and Gabi immigrated to Israel from South America 15 years ago. They never truly acclimated and are now struggling to raise their four young children (ages 2 months – 8 years) with dignity.
Sylvie runs a small day care center from her apartment; Gabi is currently unemployed. The family survives on Sylvie’s small income and a monthly government subsidy.
Sylvie and Gabi’s apartment is sparsely furnished. Their most desperate need is beds for their children. The ones they had were broken and dangerous to sleep on so they disposed of them.
At the moment, the children are sleeping either in their parents’ bed or on old mattresses on the floor.
This is an untenable situation; our help can certainly make a difference in these children’s lives.
