Beds for Rachel and Moshe’s children
Rachel, 54, and Moshe, 57, have eight children; four are married and four are still living at home.
Moshe learns full-time in a yeshiva and receives a small monthly government stipend; Rachel works as an aide to the elderly. Despite their best efforts, the couple barely covers their cost-of-living.
When social services visited the family’s apartment, they were shocked to see that the four children were sleeping on broken beds with torn mattresses. New beds are not in Rachel and Moshe’s budget, but these growing children deserve a good night’s sleep.
