Beds for Miriam and her Children
After many years during which Miriam could not work, she has recently taken a job stocking shelves in a store. At the moment, Miriam, 40, and her two children (ages 13 and 7) cannot stay in their public housing unit, as it is so run down and neglected that it has become unlivable. The three have gone to her grandparents’ home as the cost of the necessary renovations is too high for her.
All three need beds there but Miriam cannot afford even these. She is trying to restart her life, but it is difficult to move forward without a decent night’s sleep.
