Bed for Dena and Boaz

Dena, 18.5, and Boaz, 21, have been married for 18 months. They already have a one-year-old baby and Dena is pregnant. Boaz grew up in an ultra-Orthodox home and chose to leave that lifestyle. As a result, his family cut off all contact with him. Dena’s mother is a widow who is raising six other children on her own. As a result of these circumstances, Dena and Boaz receive no help from their respective families.

Though practically children themselves, the young couple was managing. Boaz worked in security, while Dena was home with their baby. Unfortunately though, Boaz was laid off in March. They are currently living in his deceased grandmother’s apartment. Boaz is looking for work but in the meantime, they have no income except for his unemployment benefits. The bed they are sleeping on was his grandmother’s, and it desperately needs to be replaced. This is an expense that the young couple cannot cover right now.
