Mara, 32, is a single mother to her nine-year-old son, Nir.

Mara and Nir live with her parents who are old and ailing. With the small income she brings in as a supermarket cashier, along with a monthly government stipend, Mara supports the whole household.

Mara is determined to stand on her own two feet. She has turned to Social Services for professional and parenting advice, and hopes to give Nir a brighter future.

Recently, Mara and Nir moved into their own apartment. Unfortunately, Nir does not have his own bed so they are sleeping together in one bed.

Every child deserves a decent night’s sleep in their own bed; let’s help Nir get one.
