Fridge for Rebacca
Rebecca is completely handicapped after a difficult operation to replace a heart valve. She lives alone in public housing and cannot work. In the past, she was hospitalized with a mistaken diagnosis of schizophrenia, an event that left her with post-traumatic stress that continues to affect her both emotionally and physically.
Her three adult children live in their own apartments and Rebecca tries to help them as much as she can, even though her income is limited to her state handicapped stipend. She cannot stretch this to cover a new refrigerator, even though she is barely managing without one since the old one broke.
