Shir, 33, is trying to rebuild her life.

Shir immigrated to Israel three years ago, along with her husband and two young children. Since her arrival, she has been at home raising her children, ages 3 and 6.

A few months ago, Shir took her children and ran as she was being physically abused by her husband. She moved into her father’s home and has been living off of monthly government subsidies.

Shir is finally ready to move out and start afresh. She and her children have rented an apartment. Unfortunately, Shir can’t afford the most basic furnishings for her new home. If she could get help purchasing new beds which would allow them all a decent night’s sleep, she and her kids would be off to a good start.
