Shada, 49, is divorced and has five children, ages 13-21.
Shada is legally blind and receives a monthly disability stipend. She also suffers from fibromyalgia which makes working outside the home virtually impossible.
In addition to her physical disabilities, Shada has some cognitive dysfunction.
With great effort, Shada manages to make ends meet each month. There is no money, however, to cover any extras.
Recently, Shada’s washing machine broke; she cannot afford to replace it. If we could help her buy a new machine, there’s no doubt her quality of life would improve dramatically.
