Washing machine for Ofra and Tom

Total Cost - USD 421
Still Needed - USD 380
Funded - USD 41

Ofra and Tom are struggling to make ends meet and need a helping hand.

The couple’s family life is complicated; Ofra has three children from a previous marriage, one of whom lives with her and Tom. Tom has six children from his first marriage, most of whom spend weekends with him and Ofra. In addition, Ofra and Tom have a ten-year-old daughter together.

Ofra works as a secretary and earns minimum wage; Tom works part-time as a sales clerk. Together, they bring home a very low income.

Over the years, Ofra and Tom have fallen deeply into debt. Ofra is currently looking for a higher paying job with the hope of breaking the family’s cycle of poverty.

In the meantime, the family’s old, second-hand washing machine has broken and cannot be repaired. If they could get help buying a new one, they would have one less hurdle to overcome as they try to get back on their feet.
