Washing machine for Naama and Kfir
Kfir, 23, and Naama, 24, are in dire circumstances. Together, they are raising two young daughters, ages 2 and 3, and Naama is in her fifth month of pregnancy.
Kfir suffers from diabetes and two herniated discs in his back. Because of his physical issues, he hasn’t been able to work for two years.
Naama works as a cook in a nursery school program, but her small income doesn’t come close to covering the family’s expenses. The couple has fallen into massive debt, and their financial situation has impacted Kfir’s psychological state.
Kfir and Naama have been forced to move four times in the last two years since they cannot cover their rent. Kfir eventually approached social services because he couldn’t afford to feed his children.
Four months ago, Kfir was sent to an outpatient psychiatric facility in order to receive treatment for depression and anxiety. Hopefully, he is now receiving the care he so desperately needs.
One of Kfir and Naama’s most pressing needs right now is a new washing machine. Their old one is broken, and it is virtually impossible to raise two toddlers without one.
