Washing machine for Efrat

Efrat, 34, grew up in a very dysfunctional home; she was bullied in school and was sexually abused. In her early teenage years, her parents divorced; at that point, Social Services removed her from her parents’ home and sent her to a boarding school for at-risk youth.

Efrat successfully completed high school and did a year of National Service. Throughout, she suffered from emotional and psychological issues and received counseling.

Eventually, Efrat married and had two children. Her husband was a drug addict and when Efrat realized that he wasn’t willing to get help, she left him.

Efrat worked whatever odd jobs she could find and continued getting psychological counseling. She was determined to give her kids a brighter future.

After October 7th, Efrat’s condition deteriorated. She was diagnosed with anxiety disorder and PTSD. She is now being treated by a psychiatrist and receiving appropriate medication.

At the moment, Efrat is supporting herself and her children on a monthly disability stipend and unemployment benefits. She is extremely motivated to get back on her feet.

In the meantime, her washing machine broke and cannot be repaired. With two little children at home. Efrat is desperate for a new machine. Let’s help provide one.
