Bella, a 91-year-old widow with three grown children, is a Holocaust survivor. She lives on her own in a small, tidy apartment with the most basic furnishings.

At the beginning of the war, Bella lost a grandchild, another trauma in her long life.

Recently, Bella’s washing machine broke. The very least we can do for her is provide a new one so that she can do her washing in the comfort of her own home.
