Mara, 44, is an incredibly devoted mom to four children, ages 9-21.

Mara’s ex-husband is not in touch with his family and offers no support, financial or emotional. Mara is truly on her own.

Mara works part-time as an aide in a nursing home. She also receives a monthly disability stipend for her 12-year-old daughter, Gali, who is autistic, developmentally disabled and suffers from epilepsy.

Despite her greatest effforts to provide for her children’s every need, Mara struggles to make ends meet; in addition to her normal cost-of-living, her medical expenses for Gali are exorbitant. Social Services helps in any way they can, but every month is a battle.

Mara’s oldest son, Roi, desperately wants to begin university. He dreams of becoming a psychologist, but Mara cannot afford to pay his tuition.

Roi deserves every chance in the world to move forward with his life. His mother would love nothing more than to help him, but it is beyond her abilities.
