Tuition for Leah
Leah, 21, is a very impressive young woman who deserves our help.
Leah grew up in an ultra-Orthodox home, the oldest of eight siblings. She finished high school with full matriculation exams and did two years of National Service.
As a child, Leah was sexually abused; as she grew up, she suffered emotionally. Although she cried out for help, she received no support from her family. Her issues were pushed under the table until she reached out on her own and began therapy.
After living away from home during her National Service, Leah realized that building an independent life was crucial to her well-being. She began working full-time, joined a social services program that guides youth who have no family support and moved into her own apartment.
Leah has developed self-confidence, an independent spirit and an extraordinary sense of responsibility. She has also learned to ask for help when she needs it and to lean on others when necessary.
In addition to working to support herself, Leah is studying for certification as a hydro-therapist. She hopes to build a career in the field, thereby supporting herself while, at the same time, helping others.
If we could help Leah pay her tuition, she would be one giant step closer to a brighter future.
