Summer camp for Daniel

Total Cost - USD 1,730
Still Needed - USD 0
Funded - USD 1,730

Daniel is a 13-year-old boy from Kiryat Bialik in northern Israel, one of four siblings raised by his mother, Nina. She is a devoted single parent who works hard to support the family on her own. Her income covers the basics, but there’s little left for extras like extracurricular activities or summer camp.

Daniel was born in Israel to parents who made aliyah following Operation Solomon and is part of a proud Ethiopian-Israeli family. He was deeply traumatized by the war and now suffers from PTSD. He struggles to socialize like other children and is often left feeling isolated and different. Living in northern Israel – an area affected by the ongoing conflict – only adds to his daily stress and emotional burden.

Summer camp could be a turning point. Lasting three weeks, the camp offers a safe, supportive space where Daniel can build friendships, gain confidence, and feel like he truly belongs. Children participate in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and team-building exercises, all designed to foster cooperation and strengthen social skills.

Our goal is to raise 5,000 NIS to help cover the main expenses – meals, accommodations, activity supplies, and professional staff – making it possible for Daniel to take part in this life-changing experience.
