Standing with Israel’s war widows

Since October 7, 2023, the war has left more than 350 women widowed and over 885 children orphaned. Many of these widows are now raising young children on their own while coping with deep grief, bureaucratic hurdles and, in some cases, financial hardship. They struggle simply to rebuild a stable home for their families.

That’s where Ten Gav steps in, now in partnership with KUMA Sulamot, working together to provide urgent, concrete needs for families at this critical time.

These are some of the families we have assisted through individual, one-time interventions:

*Names and personal details have been changed slightly to respect privacy of our recipients.

Maya, 28, is raising two young children, including an infant under one. With no ability to return to work yet, she urgently needs a fridge and dryer so she can manage her home and care for her family.

Leah, 31, a mother of three small children, is working tirelessly to maintain consistency and comfort for her kids while dealing with sudden financial strain.

Tamar, 42, has four young children and has not been able to return to work. Her children need a functioning computer so they can keep up with schoolwork, stay connected, and regain a sense of normalcy.

Our mission is to ensure that these families receive what they need, when they need it – quickly, respectfully, and with dignity.
