Refrigerator for Tamara and Eran
Tamara, 29, and Eran, 26, are trying to build a life together, along with their two-year-old son, Yarden.
Eran suffers from autism but is extremely high-functioning. He works as an assistant in a day care center for the disabled. He also receives a monthly disability stipend.
Tamara, who has been diagnosed with both a chronic neurological condition and anxiety disorder, is a student studying for a degree in Life Sciences. She is under the care of a psychotherapist and takes a regular course of medications. Tamara also receives a monthly disability stipend.
The family of three has been living with Tamara’s grandparents for the past three years. They recently decided to move into their own rental apartment.
Tamara and Eran do their best to support themselves and Yarden, but there is little money left over for “extras”. Their new apartment is largely unfurnished, with no electrical appliances. If they could get help buying a refrigerator, Tamara and Eran would be one step closer to realizing their dream of living an independent life.
