Orit, 46, is divorced and raising six children on her own; five are still living at home with her.

Orit’s ex-husband pays child support only sporadically; she tries her best to support her family on her income as a secretary. It isn’t easy, to say the least.

Several of Orit’s children suffer from learning disabilities and ADHD. She works hard to give them all the time and attention they need.

The family’s apartment is neat and tidy, but missing many basic furnishings.

At the moment, Orit’s most desperate need is a new refrigerator; her old one is broken beyond repair.

Orit and her children deserve to eat fresh food; let’s help make sure that happens.
