Anat, now 21, has had a very rough start in life. A single mother to a two-year-old son, Anat is now looking to turn her life around.

Anat comes from a highly dysfunctional home. Her parents divorced when she was younger and, after the divorce, Anat began displaying at-risk behavior. Eventually, she fell pregnant.

When she discovered that she was pregnant, Anat knew it was time to take her life in hand. She moved in with her mother in order to save money and get help with her baby. After some time, unfortunately, Anat had a huge fight with her brother who reacted violently. Anat knew it was time to set out on her own.

Anat rented an apartment for her and her son; they survive on Anat’s monthly disability stipend.

Anat furnished her new apartment with second-hand furniture. Her most desperate need right now is a refrigerator. Her and her son cannot possibly survive on their own without one.
