Cooktop for Hila
Hila, 58, is going through a very rough time. Two years ago, her husband, Chaim, died of a heart attack. Chaim hadn’t worked the previous nine years, and the couple were in tight financial circumstances.
For the past two years, Hila hasn’t worked either. She has a number of serious physical ailments which prevent her from working and is currently surviving on a monthly government stipend and help from social services.
Currently, Hila’s oldest son, who is divorced with one child, is living with her. This obviously adds to her expenses and has left her in debt.
Hila’s most pressing need right now is a new cooktop, an expense she cannot afford. At the moment, she has no way to safely cook for herself, her son and her grandson.
