Computer for Tali
Neither Shai, 36, nor Lital, 33, had an easy start in life. Shai comes from a very low socio-economic household and, as a child, battled cancer. Lital’s parents had an abusive relationship and eventually divorced; today, Lital suffers from both severe allergies and fibromyalgia.
Lital and Shai have two children, ages 4 and 8. Shai is trained as an electrician and works in a factory. Because of her health issues, Lital can only work part-time.
Lital and Shai try their hardest to make ends meet but every extra expense tightens the noose around their necks.
One of the couple’s most pressing needs right now is a computer for eight-year-old Tali. Many of her school assignments are meant to be completed online and without a computer, she risks falling behind her peers.
