Computer for Orpaz
Orpaz, 25, was born in Ethiopia; her father died when she was three, and she and her three brothers were raised by their mother.
When Orpaz was 19, the family immigrated to Israel. Orpaz learned Hebrew and went to work in a factory. With her salary, she helped support her family.
While working, Orpaz also took a course in bookkeeping. She realized that she wanted to continue her education and joined a program in order to complete her high school requirements.
After Orpaz successfully earned her high school degree, she enrolled in a social services program that mentors at-risk youth and helps them build a plan for their future.
Orpaz is a serious and very motivated young woman. She attends her mentoring sessions diligently and is determined to build herself a stable and independent future.
This year, Orpaz began studying towards a nursing degree. In order to succeed, she desperately needs a computer.
Orpaz has accomplished so much on her own. Right now, she needs a helping hand. If we could help provide her with a computer, there is no doubt that she would be one step closer to realizing her dreams.
