Computer for Guy

Nomi, 61, really needs our help. She is raising her adopted son Guy, now 14, on her own, and it isn’t easy.
For many years, Nomi worked in the travel industry. Unfortunately, three years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a year of chemotherapy and took medications that were not covered by her health fund. This year, both her temporary disability status and her private insurance benefits are ending. To make matters worse, because she wasn’t working in 2019, she was ineligible for any Corona benefit payments.
Nomi, who always earned a respectable living, now finds herself deeply in debt. In addition to her day-to-day expenses, she has loans to pay off, and her only income is a monthly government stipend. Nomi also takes care of her elderly mother who lives with them. Despite her own financial difficulties, Nomi is known to help others, often cooking for families whose situations are worse than hers.
While Nomi tries to get back on her feet, her biggest concern is Guy. She desperately wants to provide him with a computer so that he can complete his school assignments and have a diversion for his after-school hours (instead of hanging out on the streets). Nomi obviously cannot afford the expense of a computer, but a new one would certainly improve Guy’s – and Nomi’s – quality of life.
