Computer for Carni
Carni, 36, is raising her five-year-old daughter, Lital, on her own, after divorcing her husband on grounds of abuse. Her ex-husband doesn’t pay child support, and Carni is currently suing him for back pay.
Carni works part-time as a secretary, and supports herself and Lital on her salary and a monthly disability stipend that she receives due to a chronic kidney ailment. Needless to say, Carni struggles to make ends meet.
Recently, Carni began participating in a social services program that helps struggling families build a sound financial plan for the future. She has decided to take courses in order to become certified as a cosmetician, with the ultimate goal of starting her own independent business.
Carni is certainly doing all she can to build a stable future for herself and Lital. Right now, though, she could use a helping hand.
Many of Carni’s courses are given on Zoom, and she doesn’t have a computer at home. Until now, she has made do with her phone, but a computer would certainly give her a huge advantage. Carni deserves every chance to succeed.
