Beds for Mika and her son
Mika is a single mom of one child. Mika was abused as a child and as a teenager, was sent to an educational facility for adolescents at risk. As a young woman, she was in an unstable and abusive relationship for nine years with the father of her son.
Mika spent more than a year living in a shelter for battered women with her child. Eventually, she and her partner separated, and Mika returned to live with her parents. Her parents will be moving out shortly, and Mika will remain with her son in the apartment.
Mika works part-time as a caregiver for her elderly grandmother and receives financial assistance to pay her rent. Financed by various scholarships, she is currently studying architectural engineering and interior design at Shenkar College, Israel’s premier school of design.
After a long and arduous journey, Mika hopes to realize her potential and become financially independent. She is still struggling financially though and is in constant need of help and guidance.
Currently, Mika and her son need new beds. Let’s help them with this request and thereby improve their quality of life.
