Beds for Arik’s children
Arik, 51, is a widower who is raising four young children on his own (ages 5-17). He also has three older children who are already out of the house.
Three years ago, Arik’s wife, Rachel, died suddenly after an epileptic attack. Arik wasn’t home at the time, but the couple’s younger two daughters witnessed the attack.
Needless to say, Rachel’s death sent the family into turmoil. She had been responsible for childcare and the family’s home. Arik had to quickly take on all of her roles.
Arik is currently unemployed and is studying towards certification as a building engineer. He is motivated to pursue work in the field and give his children a stable future.
Arik is an incredibly dedicated father who tries to meet all of his children’s needs. Social services is also helping the family in every way possible, including providing therapy in order to help them overcome the trauma of Rachel’s death.
At the moment, Arik’s most desperate need are new beds for his children. While the family’s apartment is tidy and clean, it is lacking many basic furnishings and appliances.
These innocent young children, whose lives have been turned upside down, deserve proper beds to sleep on.
