Lena, 34, is a single mother to a 10-year-old daughter, Tali.

Lena was involved in an abusive relationship and is now, through social services, receiving therapy. She works part-time as an office cleaner and is doing all she can to support herself and her daughter.

In addition to her salary, Lena survives on a monthly government stipend and receives partial rental assistance. She lives very frugally, and there is little money left for “extras”.

Lena and Tali currently sleep together in a double bed. If they could get help paying for a new bed for Tali, their quality of life would certainly improve.
