Morris, 68, is widowed and has two grown children. While his children visit and care for him, they cannot help him financially.

Morris battles numerous physical ailments, including diabetes and chronic liver disease. He survives on a monthly government stipend which, in addition to his regular monthly expenses, has to cover certain medications as well.

At the moment, Morris’ most desperate need is a new bed. The one he is currently sleeping on is broken and unsturdy.

There is no question that a new bed would go a long way towards improving Morris’ quality of life.
