Bed for Lital

Lital, 10, has had a very difficult start in life.
Lital’s parents split up when she was a baby. For a while, she was bounced between her parents’ separate homes.
Eventually, Social Services placed Lital in an emergency center for at-risk children. After a period there, she was sent to live with her grandmother.
The situation is today is far from ideal. Lital is in erratic contact with both of her birth parents, but they do little to help raise her. That responsibility rests solely on her grandmother.
Lital’s grandmother works part-time as a cleaner, and supports herself and Lital on her small income and a monthly government stipend.
o further complicate the situation, Lital has numerous social and learning issues which Social Services is now helping to address.
In the meantime, Lital is sleeping on an old, broken bed. Every child deserves a decent night’s sleep, and Lital is certainly no exception.
