Dalia’s story is inspiring and, with a little bit of help, it’s clear that she has a brighter future ahead of her.

Dalia, 47, is a single mother to 13-year-old twins. Dalia moved to Israel from South America on her own, at the age of 17. Her father passed away a few months before she came, and her mother remained abroad.

After arriving, Dalia completed her full army service and earned a university degree. In 2007, she got married but, unfortunately, got divorced seven years later. The divorce was acrimonious and, even today, she has legal battles with her ex-husband who doesn’t pay his court-ordered child support.

Despite her difficulties, Dalia remains optimistic and is determined to stand on her own two feet.

During the Corona crisis, when she was on unpaid leave from her job, Dalia took a course in bookkeeping. She has always worked in order to support herself and her children, and hoped that the extra courses would expand her employment opportunities.

Over the years, Dalia has had to take out loans and accept help from Social Services in order to make ends meet. Her motivation hasn’t faded, though.

Dalia would now like to become certified as a payroll accountant. Unfortunately, she cannot afford the full tuition.

If Dalia could get help paying for her courses, there is no doubt that she would be one giant step closer to realizing her dreams.
