Shai, 54, is divorced and has joint custody of four of his children. Shai is a recovered drug addict who has been clean for a number of years. He supports himself on a monthly government stipend and is heavily in debt.

When Shai’s children come to stay with him, they have no way to do their laundry. Shai’s washing machine recently broke, and he cannot afford to buy a new one. In order to provide a decent home life for his kids, Shai desperately needs help purchasing a new machine.
