Washing machine for Ora
Ora, 56, is a single mother to four children. Ora’s ex-husband, who remained very close with his children, died a year ago in a fire.
Ora works as a cleaner; due to psychological and emotional issues, she receives a monthly disability stipend as well. She is a very devoted mother and a strong individual who wants to live a productive life. She is having trouble, however, making ends meet.
The family’s apartment is small and crowded, with minimal second-hand furniture. Their most pressing need at the moment is a new washing machine; their old one is broken beyond repair.
Ora currently does the family’s washing by hand. This is clearly not a long-term solution; Ora needs our help to buy a new machine.
