Washing Machine for Meir and sarah

Total Cost - USD 372
Still Needed - USD 0
Funded - USD 372

Meir, 64, makes the best living he can by selling newspapers. His wife, Sarah, 55, is an invalid. She receives a small handicapped stipend, but is unable to earn a living. Their four sons are grown and married, and their 18-year old daughter is serving in the Army. The family lives in a public housing unit.

Meir and Sarah are careful with their money, but they have little of it and it does not go far. Because of Sarah’s physical condition and the fact that Meir works long hours, they rely on their washing machine, as hand washing their clothing would be difficult. But their machine recently broke, and they cannot afford a new one.
