Washing machine for Maor
Maor, 36, is physically disabled. He has a chronic spinal cord condition that makes any simple physical task challenging.
Despite his difficulties, Maor works part-time as a counselor to people suffering from mental illness. He supports himself on his salary and a monthly disability stipend.
Recently, Maor moved out of his parents’ home in order gain some independence. He also joined a social services program that is helping him find technological solutions to some of the stumbling blocks he encounters in daily living.
Maor is determined to live as independently as possible. One of his most pressing needs is a washing machine with a drying element so that he can avoid having to move clothes from machine to machine or, even more difficult for him, hang his wet clothing.
Maor is a motivated young man who deserves a helping hand.
